Environmental Policy

The operations carried out by Alpheus Environmental Ltd are intrinsically linked to the protection of the environment. It is therefore considered that by providing an excellent environmental service to our clients, it will greatly contribute to our commercial success. This policy statement compliments and expands on the Company Policy Statement.

Alpheus Environmental Ltd’s environmental policy is, by seeking continuous improvement, to achieve and maintain excellence in environmental and operational performance, and minimise environmental risk to our clients

Our primary goal is to ensure that operations carried out by Alpheus Environmental Ltd have a net benefit to the environment. In order to pursue this goal, we will work in partnership with employees, contractors and clients and strive to:

Evaluate environmental risk at management, contractual and operational levels on a periodic basis and ensure appropriate controls are identified and implemented;
Maintain plant and equipment so as to minimise unplanned events that may lead to environmental damage;
Liaise with relevant enforcement bodies and maintain good working relationships;
Monitor process performance and take appropriate action to ensure that discharges are kept within consent levels;
Prevent pollution incidents through risk management and controls and maintain effective emergency arrangements;
Ensure safe disposal of sludges and waste;
Learn lessons from events, implement corrective actions, seek and use good practices;
Monitor changes in legislation and ensure compliance;
Be familiar with client requirements and methods of work and ensure they are implemented;
Evaluate our contractors for environmental credentials and monitor their performance.
