Emma McNamara, Waste Strategy Manager

Main Tasks/Duties: All aspects of running a small business.

Location: Bedford

Start Date: 1995

Qualifications: BSc. Environmental Management, COTC-TMS4 (WAMITAB).


Previous Work History:  I started work with Alpheus straight after gaining my degree.  I worked at Cottonvalley WTC for 2 years as a Site Supervisor which gave me an excellent grounding for the position I now hold. I also worked as a Technical Sales Engineer for 5 years.  Whilst studying for A levels and at University I had several part time jobs including lifeguard and secretary.

Hobbies: I enjoy all sport - especially Triathlon which I started competing in a couple of years ago. I love to spend time with my family, I have three lively (understatement) boys who like to keep me busy!

 


Scott Grace, Waste Disposal Operations Manager, A1 NVQ Assessor/Mentor

Main Tasks/Duties: Help resolve WMR waste treatment plant. Site Supervisor, Operational Issues. Oversee the H&S on Waste Disposal and Customer Sites. Teach and Assess Level 4 Waste Management NVQ's.

Location: Bedford/Sites

Start Date: Feb 1995

Qualifications: COTC-TMS4 (WAMITAB), A1 NVQ Assessor.

Previous Work History: I previously worked for Anglian water for 3 years before joining Alpheus as a mobile operative in 1995, where I worked for 2 years. In 1997 I took over from Emma as SIte Supervisor at Cottonvalley WTC. This knowledge and experience of the waste and sewage treatment industry proved valuable when I then became the Operations Controller, based in Alpheus's Head Office in 2002.  I then progressed to Operations Manager.

Hobbies: I am an ex adrenalin addict whose body can no longer take the punishment of white water canoeing so I like to sit in front of my computer, either playing the latest games (killing things usually), programming or taking it to bits and "fixing it". I fly big power kites and drag myself around fields or beaches in a kite buggy at high speed. I sometimes go sailing and hold a yacht master qualificaion, allowing me to charter yachts.



Catherine Hore (Kit), Waste Disposal Customer Accounts Controller

Catherine Hore

Main Tasks/Duties: Primary interface for customers and first-line Customer Support. All aspects of customer contact starting from initial enquiry, quoting work, schduling tankers, through to invoicing and collecting monies.

Location: Bedford

Start Date: Jan 2000.


Qualifications: ILM Introductory Certificate in Management. CMI Level 3 Certificate in Management, BTEC National Diploma in Equine Business Management.

Previous Work History: Exel Logistics - I.T Procurement Assistant. APEX Charitable Trust - Project Admin, EPS Logistics - Assistant Team Leader.

Hobbies: Training and competing horses in Dressage and Show jumping. Kickboxing.



Maria Jerome, Waste Disposal Admin Assistant

Previous Work History: Shanks Waste, duties included reception, admin support. Weighbridge, Telephone Communicator. British Telecom, Clerical Support.

Hobbies: Salsa dancing, Reading, Watching Films.
