Development: Due to restaurant expansion at Crows Nest the existing Klargester treatment plant on the Whitbread site became overloaded and expensive to maintain. Alpheus were bought in to design, construct and commission a New Klargester Package Sewage Treatment Plant and Soakaway to serve the restaurant kitchen, customer toilets and the managerial/staff accommodation. The plant itself consists of a Grease Separator (capacity 8000 litres), Primary Settling Tank (capacity of 27,000 litres), Balance Tank (capacity 18,000 litres), Final Settling Tank with return sludge system (capacity 27,000 litres).
The project at Crows Nest was completed in accordance with the scheduled programme and within the client’s budget.
