 What we Do: Along with our 24 hour, 365 days a year emergency cover, we also specialise in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on client’s water and wastewater assets maximising their return on investment.
Our operations and maintenance contracts are flexible and tailored to suit your particular requirements. As an ISO 9000 company you can be assured of quality service at all times. The assets we currently operate on behalf of our clients include treatment plants, pumping stations, boreholes, chemical dosing systems, interceptors, storage reservoirs and specialist equipment such as Pressure Reducing Valves (PRV’s), Backflow Prevention Valves (RPZ’s) and Pressure and Vacuum Relief Valves (P&V’s). Peace of Mind Regular pro-active monitoring of plant performance is essential to minimise environmental or health risk. Alpheus provides an affordable, high quality service that significantly reduces demands on your time and the risk of a failure of vital equipment, such as pumps or valves. PPM visits carried out by our professional engineers will prolong asset life and reduce operational costs through better performance. Regular monitoring of plant effectiveness, including continual telemetry monitoring will help ensure discharges remain within consent. Routine work is scheduled in using the latest Mobile Communications packages ensuring our engineers locate the sites using Sat Nav directions minimizing call out times. The PDA communicators are then used to process the routine work allowing immediate updates back to a central database. Technology will now allow the customer to sign off work on the PDA. A web portal can be arranged for clients to access information and assign jobs direct. Our People Our 24 hour nationwide emergency service is delivered by our network of experienced engineers. These mobile crews supported by our in-house process expertise can help optimise efficiency, minimise plant downtime and improve compliance, supported by our in-house process expertise. Pump Stations  Pump Station Pumps are often located in wet wells and our service engineers are fully trained in the use of gas detection equipment, confined space entry procedures and all related health and safety issues. Sewage or Package Treatment Plants  Treatment Plants We use our accredited laboratories to confirm sample effluent is compliant ensuring regulatory bodies typically the Environmental Agency (EA) are assured that the plant is operating within consent. We have a vast experience and knowledge of numerous designs, makes and sizes of plants. Grease Removal  Internal Grease Trap Why install a Grease Trap? Oils, fats and greases pollute kitchen and food processing premise drains both internally and externally, causing blockages as well as providing a diet for vermin. It is vital to sites which operate their own sewage treatment system to remove these substances. The Fatstrippa works by liquids lighter than water rising and escaping by means of a patented valve. Because the fats, oils and greases gather around the valve it is these that are removed as the valve opens. Correctly specified the Fatstrippa consistently removes fats, oils and greases to below 100ppm. Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) Valves  RPZ Valves Typical applications in various industries may include: dishwashers, bottle washers, vegetable washing equipment, fire sprinkler systems, irrigation systems, commercial clothes washers (including laundrettes), laboratories, drink vending machines and breweries. Pressure and Vacuum Relief (P & V) Valves  (P & V) Valves The relief valve maintains the digester system operating pressure, protecting the tank from distortion by increased or decreased pressure. Alpheus installs P & V valves and conducts routine preventative maintenance; issuing certificates to confirm integrity. Pressure Management (PMV) Valves  (PMV) Valves Alpheus’ capability includes the maintenance and calibration of network PMV valves, and experience of implementing scheduled maintenance programs. Telemetry  Telemetry Our customers typically request radio telemetry to their on site personnel or GSM telemetry using mobile communications to send messages to several destinations for appropriate action. Sampling and Laboratory Analyses  Sampling & Lab Analyses Interceptors have to be regularly inspected- this service may be provided along with our Tanker Brokering Service.
