Alpheus recognises both the cost and pressures faced by customers in relation to water supplies and the disposal of effluent whether to the environment or the public sewer. Recycling wastewater provides both cost and environmental benefits and Alpheus has lead the way in providing treatment of wastewater to a level where it can be used in place of towns water. The award winning Flag Fen STW / Peterborough Power Station project which Alpheus, built, financed and operates, is a good example of how wastewater can be treated to a high level for reuse providing significant benefits to customers.
